Part of the mission at OSG is to utilize our global resources to their fullest. Through technology, services, and actions, theyhave strived to improve on their past achievements while at the same time preserving the environment and enhancing society as a whole. From the beginning of their R&D process, through manufacturing, all the way to running their offices and improving life for everyone in their communities, OSG is an Oh So Green company.

OSG's R&D takes place in thier Global Technology (GT) Center located in Toyokawa, Japan. This brand new facility was designed from the ground up to be green. Green features of the GT Center include:

• Solar Panels on roof for storing energy to be used through-out the building.
• Use of Eco-friendly materials, such as bamboo wood floors instead of oak (bamboo grows 7x faster than other trees).
• Motion sensors throughout the offices and various rooms to turn off the lights when rooms/spaces are not in use.
• All lighting fixtures use energy efficient bulbs.
• Recycled water constantly streams down the face of the building to reduce internal ambient temperature, limiting the use of air conditioning in the summer.
• Bathrooms contain motion sensors on all faucets and eco-friendly 1.4 gallon toilets to conserve water.

All of their factories in Japan are ISO 14001 certified (on top of the standard ISO 9001 certification). ISO 14001 is a non-mandatory environmental certification that OSG took on voluntarily to ensure eco-friendly manufacturing processes are utilized.

In 2007, OSG Tap & Die started an "Oh So Green" Committee. This committee has implemented many new green methods for OSG including:

• Switching 40% of interoffice transaction to electronic (paperless).
• Installment of recycling stations for paper, cans, plastic, and even batteries.
• Catalogs for distribution are printed on recycled paper with vegetable soy based ink.
• Catalog on CD's reduced paper consumption via our catalog by 30%.
• Issuing permanent mugs to each employee eliminated the use of Styrofoam cups at OSG.
• Adopted a Highway to clean-up the outside environment.
• Annual tree planting ceremony.

Every step of the OSG process is enhanced with green features which benefit the end product.
