A who's who of Westmoreland County businesswomen, and their male counterparts, attended the 16th annual Seton Hill University E-Magnify Winners' Circle awards luncheon on Thursday at the Four Points by Sheraton in Greensburg.

The awards are presented yearly to women, men, businesses or organizations that advocate for women, women-owned businesses and the community as a whole.

This year's honorees included:

• YWCA Rising Star Award: Lindsay Turchetta of Greensburg, a financial adviser with Waddell & Reed. In addition to her professional endeavors, Turchetta is the Hempfield Area School District head girls volleyball coach and coach of the Keystone Volleyball Club.

• Award for Community Service: Kristine Samloff of Greensburg, owner of Complete Reporting Services. Among her volunteer commitments, Samloff has a special place in her heart for the homeless and hungry, both human and animal, and has appeared at charity functions as Peaches the Clown.

• Seton Hill University Entrepreneurial Excellence Award: Melanie Ansell of Derry Township, president of My Business Builders LLC. Prior to starting her own business, Ansell logged more than 30 years in banking and is active in numerous business organizations.

• ATHENA Award: Carol Utay of Wexford, executive director of Total Learning Centers. Early experience as a babysitter drew Utay into a career devoted to helping children, as a teacher, reading therapist, principal, consultant, speaker, author -- and mother.

Mary Catherine Motchar also was recognized as the only dual award winner, having received the entrepreneurial award in 1997 and the ATHENA in 2006.

Committee members pulling together the festivities for about 250 guests included Chairwoman Faye Rosatti, E-Magnify director Jayne Huston, Vikki Ridenour, Barbara VanKirk, Bonnie, Lewis, Angel Marschik, Jane Sibenaller, Cheri Cavanaugh and Karen Struble Myers. Jenelle Campbell was event planner.

Seen at lunch: Autumn DeLellis, Maris Bondi, Mark Peterson, Bobbi Watt Geer, Tay Waltenbaugh, Meagan Bilik DeFazio, Daniel and Ann Obara, Ruth Tolbert, Kirk Utzinger, James Bendel, Linda Austin, Molly Robb Shimko, Julie Cawoski and Marisa Yaniszeski.

Also, Robert Boscarino, Ron Eberhardt, Kary Coleman Hazen, Dorothy Andreas-Tuel, Carol Harris, Kathy Tosh, Kim Kramer, Kami Schmucker, Hilary Gilmore, George Shaner and Michael Philopena.
